Glenmorangie 18 years is a single malt of great distinction. After aging for fifteen years in American white oak barrels, approximately 30% of the whisky is transferred to Sherry Oloroso casks for an additional three years of maturation. Once both components have matured, they are meticulously blended to create a whisky with rich aromas and a full-bodied, well-balanced texture.

On the nose, Glenmorangie 18 years evokes a harvest meal, with delicate notes of creamy vanilla and citrus, accompanied by hints of honey, nuts, and dates. Floral accents of jasmine, narcissus, and geranium complement this autumnal tableau.

On the palate, the whisky offers a velvety sensation, with vibrant flavors of grapefruit and orange, followed by an enchanting sweetness of honey, flowers, and nuts from the Sherry Oloroso casks. The rich flavors of dates and figs recall autumn, with smoky nuances in the background.

The finish is long and lingering, with sweet notes of dried fruits and the subtly dry character of the Sherry Oloroso casks, accented with hints of nuts.

Alan Winchester, Master Distiller of The Glenlivet, meticulously selected a variety of casks to create this expression. The main malt is matured in Sherry casks, imparting nuances of dried fruits and spices, while a portion is aged in Bourbon casks, revealing fruity and elegant aromas.

Each cask, whether American or Spanish in origin and first or second fill, contributes to this perfect fusion, offering in every sip a delightful blend of ripe fruits and floral fragrances.
