Following the excitement generated by the limited edition release of Lagavulin 8 Year Old for the distillery's 200th anniversary, Lagavulin has decided to make this version a permanent fixture within the range. This 8-year-old expression was previously an iconic reference for the distillery. Although younger than its 16-year-old sibling, it offers more pronounced peat aromas thanks to a 48% ABV.
Nose: Notes of black pepper and smoke, followed by orange and lemon zest.
Taste: Light and distinctly Lagavulin: round, smoky, and warm. The smoke, increasingly present, becomes dry.
Finish: Very long and smoky. An elegant expression that combines smoky aromas with a powerful taste. A beautiful intensity.
