Crafted by hand in the oldest distillery in the United States, located in Woodford County, Kentucky, since 1812, this bourbon undergoes a double maturation that perfectly masters the alliances between the barrel and the wood, and their influence on the whiskey.
The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked first rests in heavily charred white oak barrels, then undergoes a second aging in new oak barrels twice as toasted, followed by a light charring, to bring out even more of the wood's natural sugars.
This additional maturation gives this new expression more character and roundness. Its unique flavor, twice as intense, also lies in the blending of the finest grains and the quality of the white oak barrels used.
